Overview

The Amarnath Yatra is an annual Hindu pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Shri
Amarnathji in the south Kashmir Himalayas, held during the summer months to
witness
natural  ice Lingam (Shivalinga) that symbolizes Lord Shiva. Devotees undertake an arduous trek through the mountains to reach the cave, which is only accessible for a short period due to its high altitude. The pilgrimage is a significant religious event for Hindus
seeking divine blessings and spiritual fulfillment.

Important note

Due to the high-altitude terrain and challenging weather conditions, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) requires all pilgrims to complete a registration process that includes a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC). Without this certificate and valid registration, you will not be allowed to participate in the Yatra.
